My name is Patricia Ruiz, but all my friends call me Patty. I was born on Nov.8, 1980 and I am 18 yrs. old. I currently live in San Antonio, TX and attend the University of Texas at San Antonio. All the students and faculty call it UTSA cause it's easier and shorter to say. I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, if you don't know where that is it is in the southern part of TX and is about an hour from South Padre Island and about two hours from Mexico. I have been very fortunate to have made so many friends here in no time at all. My friends come from all over the world and we all get along so well. They come from Maine , Michigan, Chichagi, Alaska, Chile, Puerto Rico, Houston, Panama, and everywhere else. With friends here I have not really felt homesick but I do miss all those homecooked meals that my mom use to make and the tortillas de arina that my grandma would make for me. | ||||||||||||||||

I unfortunately am not an only child I have a younger brother named Mario Ruiz, Jr. who is 16 yrs old. He was born April 3, 1982 and is 5'9". I call him my fello but he is really cute or so all my friends tell me. He is in his junior year of high school and is still uncertain of what he want to do when he graduates. He is involved in several school organizations but his true loves are being able to play baseball and karate. He plays putfield for our high school team and is a high brown belt in Ti Kwan Do, Korean Karate. He is only two belts away from getting his black belt. My brother also loves to draw and he is pretty good at it. The only thing that I see that he could improve on besides his eating habits is his dancing ability. He can't dance to tejano music and I've been trying to get him to learn but he's just so stubborn about it. he has started learning it recentally though and has improved alot , Thank God. | ||||||||||||||||

Of course I can't forget the most important person in my life , my mom. My mom's name is Esperanza G. Ruiz. She was born Jan. 31, 1965. She is 33 yrs. old and is about 5'9". Without my mom I don't know where I'd be today. She has been my insperation and my romodel since I can remember. She has always been there for me no matter what dumb things I do. She has always supported me in my ambitions and in my dreams. Her work took her to Orgean for a while and she got to see Crater Lake. The pictures she brought back were amazing. I would like to visit there one day myself. I'll like you always I'll love you forever Cause my mommy you will always be | ||||||||||||||||
